The coaching process

Do you find that there is never enough time in the day to think through what you want out of life? There are always interruptions or ‘more important’ things that need your attention. Wouldn’t life be easier if you could proactively create more of what you want and less of what you don’t want? Coaching gives you the opportunity to take stock and reflect on where you are and how you got there, away from the ‘noise’ of everyday life.

A coach will challenge you to reach  your potential, help you to stay focused on what is important and hold you accountable. They will partner with you by asking questions that allow you to tap into your inner wisdom to identify blocks in thinking, highlight new perspectives, and make the complex simple.

You may be surprised at how resourceful you are at finding strategic, practical solutions to challenges, allowing you to move from your current reality to your desired future with greater confidence and at a faster pace. Along the way, you will have transformative ‘aha’ moments, learn more about your strengths and weaknesses and develop new techniques and tools that will enhance your performance.

The coaching session

Each coaching session runs for an hour.  You have the option of meeting either face-to-face, on the telephone or online via Skype.  Sessions are usually held every 2-4 weeks to allow for work to occur in between meetings.

The identified goals and desired outcomes will determine the number of sessions required. An initial four to six sessions are usually agreed and paid for in advance. This is followed by a review of progress before further sessions are contracted.

An initial complimentary 15-30 minute ‘good-fit’ call about the process and the issues to be discussed is held before the first formal session.

What to expect from a coaching session

Coaching is all about you. It is 100% focused on you and what you want to achieve in your life. This is your time to stop and reflect on what you really want out of life. You decide what you want to focus on and what if any action you will take in between sessions.

Coaching can transform your outlook on life. You will be asked powerful, thought-provoking questions that encourage you to look at your life from new perspectives.

Coaching uses your inner resources. We do not give advice. Instead, we support and guide you to tap in to your internal resources to come up with your own answers so that you can make positive changes in your life.

Coaching is about moving forward. You are supported to change your dreams of the future into concrete actions and will be kept focused, accountable and on track to achieve your goals.

Coaching is a support system for change. The coach will cheer you on, believe in you and help you to stay on track. At the same time, you will be challenged to dig deeper, overcome obstacles, recognise your greatness and fulfil your potential within a safe, supportive and confidential environment.

Coaching is a continuous improvement process. You will gain a greater insight in to your approach to different situations so that you can overcome challenges and make better future decisions. We will help you to learn how to solve your  problems instead of providing you with a magic solution.
